After releasing her first EP in 2023, MARIS is taking the pop world by storm. The Los Angeles-based artist is known for her energetic sound and captivating stage presence. MARIS has mastered the art of forming a connection with every audience member from the front row to the back of the venue, urging them to find their inner superstar. The intergalactic pop-powerhouse embarked on her first headline tour alongside co-headliner Caroline Kingsbury on September 13, 2025. On the artist's third tour stop in Dallas, TX, at Club Dada, Slipfast editors Claire Hookstra and Mckenna Sefcik got the chance to chat with MARIS about tour essentials, UFOs, and the unapologetically sparkly 'Give Me A Tour.'

Slipfast: I know 'Give Me A Tour' just started! Do you have a go-to road trip song?

MARIS: Ooh, honestly, I've been listening to Justin Bieber's My World on repeat. I don't know what it is about it. I saw a live arrangement of "Baby" that was so good. But I was a One Direction girl, really, but I think I'm having a resurgence.

Slipfast: If you had to describe your fashion in three words, what would you say?

MARIS: Space. Camp. Glitter.

Slipfast: Beautiful. Speaking of space, I know your aesthetic and this tour's aesthetic is very space-themed. If you had your UFO and you were landing in a new city, what would your landing/walk-out song be?

MARIS: Ooh.... probably "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen.

Slipfast: Oh, great answer, what color would your UFO be?

MARIS: Pink. Or actually, it could change colors, iridescent maybe.

Slipfast: What is one makeup item that you could not live without?

MARIS: Brow gel. Brow gel saves my life every time.

Slipfast: Ok, final question, if you had to describe 'Give Me A Tour' to a Victorian child... how would you describe it?

MARIS: Oh man, I'd just say "shhh" and have them experience it. Drink a Red Bull, have a heart attack. I just heard someone say, "Y'all think Victorian children would be phased by Doritos? They lived through the Black Plague." They're probably even tougher than we are.

Slipfast: Oh, so true, I never thought about that. They could totally survive the tour.

MARIS: They could survive this tour. I think they would come out super gay. But I think they'd survive.

Slipfast: Probably, and maybe that's for the better.

MARIS: I agree!
