"Breathing the Same Air" - Petey USA

Petey USA's newest single, "Breathing the Same Air" is sonically mesmerizing. The lyrics reflect the artist's sound perfectly, with a more conversational feel as he describes the phenomenon of simply existing with someone is enough sometimes. There's not always a need for elaborate plans are adventures. "Sometimes breathing the same air has gotta be enough," is repeated throughout the chorus, as the outro repeats "I am who I am / You are who you'll be" as the production swells behind the vocals. The single is inviting and captivating, which makes me excited for what's to come with upcoming projects from Petey USA.

"The Contract"- Twenty One Pilots

Twenty One Pilots is back, and your most annoying friends aren’t shutting up about it (me, I’m the friend.) Fresh off ‘The Clancy Tour,’ the band announced its next album, Breach, releasing in September 2025. The first single off the record, “The Contract,” is quintessentially Twenty-One Pilots. It contributes to the eerie lore built up by the artist’s discography and highlights Josh Dun’s chaotic drumming style. The track is fast-paced, frantic, and guaranteed to wake you up on your dreary drive to work (I speak from experience).

"Simple Math" - Emma Andersen

Up-and-coming indie folk singer-songwriter Emma Andersen released her newest single "Simple Math" this past week. The delicate song urges us to "Go outside!" for our time here is short and we have to make the most of it. The song is nostalgic, with an elegant acoustic guitar pattern under Andersen's angelic vocal quality. The only way out is up for Anderson from here on out, so give "Simple Math" a listen!

"Diet Pepsi (Live at Sirius XMU)"- Blondshell

Going viral for her cover of "Diet Pepsi" by Addison Rae recently on TikTok, Blondshell has finally released the cover on streaming. She took the electronic-pop ballad and stripped it back, giving us an acoustic and mellow version of the danceable track by the ex-TikToker. Starting a trend of posting videos of your loved ones to the track, and singing it as a part of her set on her current tour, Blondshell's cover is innovative and is making moves online and in real life.

"LAST MAN STANDING"- Blusher

The Australian trio, Blusher, released its single, "LAST MAN STANDING," ahead of its new EP, RACER, releasing July 31, 2025. The song is upbeat and danceable, which is to be expected of the alternative pop group. Relaying the feels of always being available for a lover or love interest, or otherwise known as the "last man standing" at the end of the night, anyone who has ever crushed on someone ever can find a way to relate to the track.
