"Drawing a Tattoo" by Jake Minch

Jake Minch's latest single, "Drawing a Tattoo," released last week ahead of his upcoming debut album, George. The song is a melancholic ode of nostalgia, and perfected indie-folk tune. The song uses vivid imagery within its lyrics, something common in most of Minch's discography.

"Sinking Feeling" by LEAP

London-based rock band, LEAP, released its new single, "Sinking Feeling" before the group's debut album, Entropy, releases on October 3. The song's production is heavy behind the quintessentially-rock vocals of lead singer Jack Balfour Scott. A newer band, I feel that these guys will be able to make it big, so check them out ASAP!

"Goodnight" by Florence Road

Florence Road found its start on TikTok, reaching viral success for its eclectic covers of songs in all genres. The group's latest EP, Fall Back, highlights the single "Goodnight," a breakup ballad that truly encapsulates the band's unique sound. The world takeover of Florence Road is only beginning, and I cant wait to see what they have in store.

"Hammer" by Lorde

Lorde's highly anticipated fourth album, Virgin, releases this Friday, June 27th. The latest single, "Hammer," proves Lorde's ability of experimentation with her sound. Unlike any single or song before, the track begins distorted, moving into biting and defiant lyrics. According to singles "What Was That," "Man of the Year," and "Hammer," Virgin is going to be nothing short of a phenomenon.

"Stuck in My Head Again" by Fruit Bats

The indie-rock icon Fruit Bats, the musical act by Eric D. Johnson, is back with a new single "Stuck in My Head Again." Embarking on a late summer/fall tour, Fruit Bats is set to release its newest album, Baby Man, on September 12th. Johnson's voice is gritty and emotive on this track, shining over a simple acoustic guitar looping riff. A slower ballad than other popular tracks from the act, its guaranteed to help you relax in our chaotic state of life we all seem to be in currently.
