The American rock band, Wavves, performed at Mohawk on July 19th alongside openers Beach Goons and Choke Cherry. The San Francisco-based grunge band Choke Cherry kicked off the night with an enticing performance, including its newest song, “Goldmine.” The alt-rock trio Beach Goons soon followed, bringing its blaring guitar riffs and rough vocals to the crowded venue. Quickly after, Wavves took over the Mohawk Outdoor stage. As a select number of fans crowd surfed, the rockers performed songs from their latest album, Spun, as well as fan-favorite hits from their 2010 album King of the Beach.  As the show ended, the venue continued to buzz with the infectious high-energy of Wavves, making it a night to remember in Austin, TX
